The following day you can continue cycling towards Nafplio through the city of Argos. Argos is one of the oldest continuously inhabited city in the world and the oldest in Europe. Arriving in Nafplio you will step into the first capital of modern Greece circa 1829. While in Nafplio do not fail to climb the 999 steps to Palamidi, the formidable 17th century Venetian fortress.
